Alina Ibragimova's concerts this season include the complete Beethoven violin sonatas at the Wigmore Hall with her regular recital partner Cédric Tiberghien, debuts with the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and a return to the BBC Proms and the BBC Symphony in a new concerto by Huw Watkins. Highlights next season include debuts at Carnegie Hall and with John Eliot Gardiner performing Mozart at La Fenice.

In music from baroque to new commissions Alina has been soloist with orchestras including the London Symphony, Philharmonia, HR Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, Stuttgart Radio Symphony, with conductors including Sir Charles Mackerras, Richard Hickox, Walter Weller, Gianandrea Noseda, and Osmo Vänskä. Following her debut directing from the violin with the Kremerata Baltica during Salzburg Mozartwoche 2005 Alina has toured as soloist/director with the Kremerata Baltica, Britten Sinfonia and Australian Chamber Orchestra.

In recital & chamber music Alina performs regularly at venues including the Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw, Musée du Louvre, and at festivals including Salzburg, Verbier, Lockenhaus, MDR Musiksommer, Manchester International and Aldeburgh.

Born in Russia in 1985, Alina was a member of the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme 2005-7, a recipient of a 2008 Borletti-Buitoni Trust award, and winner of a 2009 Classical BRIT Award. Alina now records exclusively for Hyperion Records.
